Synthetic Basics

Synthetic Wigs
How would you like a head of plastic hair? Doesn't sound too enticing does it? But sounds (and looks) can be deceiving. Synthetic or Elura wigs, which are really just very fine plastic filaments, tend to look very natural these days. These wigs are much cheaper then their natural counterparts and retain their style and color much better, even after being washed. They are probably even preferable for short stiff styles. Also, if you don't plan on spending too much time on your wig, chances are, you are best off with a synthetic one. The draw backs are that these wigs do not respond well to restyling or recoloring and can be damaged by heat. They also are not nearly as strong as human hair, and generally survive only 1-2 years.
