Human Hair Extension

They said the style grew. That's what it seemed like. Overnight the style for teenage girls had gone from a short and shaped - almost boy cut to long and flowing hair. It was only two months since Silvia had walked in with her short stylish hair cut. Oh how proud Silvia was with her new hair cut. Silvia's mother was very old fashioned and she hated moving along with the styles. By the time Silvia cut her hair there was only one other girl with such long hair- Tina was the girl's name and Silvia had felt very bad for her at the time. But now Silvia was jealous of Tina - Tina's hair was long and flowing just as the style dictated. Whatever, the case was, Silvia had resolved not to be the last one to linger on with the old style.

At Recess, Silvia was talking with some friends. They were discussing having human hair extensions. Silvia was not even sure what that was, but she told them she would come along. Silvia decided she would be smart and not even ask her mother this time.

After school about five girls packed into Sophia's little hair salon. "We all want a "human hair extension," they explained. Sophia showed all the girls pictures of people who had had hair extensions done by her. They looked great. It really looked like their hair had grown overnight, just like the style. She then showed the girls the different types of hair. Sophia explained that each Hair extension could take a few hours and they would each have to make separate appointments. Silvia was given the first appointment for a hair extension- which would start in ten minutes. She was quite thankful for that. This time she would be one of the first with the new style- not the last.

That night, Silvia came home with her new stylish hair extension of long hair. At first she hid in her room, too scared of what her mother would say. Finally Silvia's mother came to her room looking for her. Oh my old Silvia, I knew you really never cut your hair so short.

Silvia just smiled. It was a good thing her mother was old fashioned and didn't know about hair extensions.
