Halloween Wigs

When you search the internet, you will find plenty of sites advertising "Halloween Wigs."

'What defines something as a Halloween wig,' I wondered. Certain sites did have some wigs which partially agreed could be earmarked as a Halloween wig. Or at least you would imagine that a majority of the people looking for such a wig wanted it for Halloween. Included in my acceptable Halloween Wig list are the pumpkin top wigs, scary light up wigs, and perhaps witches wigs.

But then there are many other so-called Halloween wigs which in my book are totally unrelated to Halloween. First and foremost clown wigs. These are straight and forward clown wigs - not Halloween wigs. Then you have the plain old funny queer wigs. Though it is questionable whether those wigs can technically be called clown wigs, they can certainly more easily be called clown wigs then Halloween wigs. Then you have all your celebrity wigs and famous figure wigs. Now go find me a connection between Benjamin Franklin and Halloween. The only one I can think of is that Benjamin Franklin honored the Holiday of Halloween. So did and do millions of other people in the world. Not good enough to call a Benjamin Franklin wig a Halloween wig.

So why are there so many companies who call their wigs Halloween wigs or at least have it as one of the titles of their wigs. Simple. The most popular occasion to wear a wig is Halloween. And this is what is so funny about the human phcyke. Someone needs a costume for Halloween. They are trying to decide what to dress up like for Halloween. So they type in Halloween costume or Halloween wig in the search engine. After all they are trying to dress up for Halloween.

The search engine brings up in big bold letters Halloween Wigs. So the guy clicks on it and up comes up a site with a big title bar that says Halloween wigs and a whole list of clown costumes. "Ah," the guy says. "I'll buy one of these. They are special Halloween wigs." And so she he buys it feeling confident that he has a special Halloween wig.

But after all is said and done, these Halloween wigs are certainly no worse then any other costume wigs. So here is a whole list of special Halloween wigs for you to buy your "Halloween Wig."
