Beethoven's Wigs
You aren't going to wear this wig. "Beethoven Wigs" is actually not a wig at all - it's a children's CD series, which is named after Ludwig van Beethoven, a famous classical musician from the early 1900s. In this series Richard Perlmutter put silly kiddy rhymes to famous classical music. However woven within the words are messages about the songs and their composers. It can be used as an excellent introduction to classical music. Small children simply love listening to it while older children and even parents get a big kick from the songs as they catch the deeper meaning. The CD is popular in nursery schools and kindergartens.
So who says that learning about classical music can't be fun? Richard Perlmutter's "Beethoven's Wig: Sing-Along Symphonies" series, provides funny lyrics to classics from Beethoven, Liszt, Mozart, Haydn, Tchaikovsky and others. Children will find themselves singing, learning, and enjoying the classics.
